INJECTION THERAPY PROCEDURES
Endorsed Podiatrists Andrew Slessar and Bridgette Nevins are assisting patients with a range of Musculoskeletal conditions with advanced injection therapy techniques for inflammatory conditions, pain management and tissue regeneration.
Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) uses ultrasound technology to perform guided injections for joints and soft tissue injuries.
What type of injection do I need?
- Corticosteroid is often used for pain relief , reducing inflammation in joints and irritated tissue.
- Local anaesthetics are used in isolation or in conjunction with corticosteroids
- Prolotherapy injections are used for tissue repair and regeneration and procedures such as nerve hydrodissection.
Will the Injection be painful?
Using ultrasound to guide injection therapy procedures is very accurate and specific to target tissue, which can make things more comfortable. The use of anaesthetic nerve blocks will improve the comfort of some injections.
