The Podiatry Team at Peninsula Foot Clinic are experienced children’s Podiatrists.

Many common foot problems in kids can be due to variations in walking patterns and arch development as kids are growing. Foot pain in kids can be challenging depending on the age of the child they may report pain.

Our Podiatrists are keen to keep kids active in involved in a wide range of sport and activity.

Many Children will not complain but just be less inclined to engage in activity if they experience discomfort in the feet or legs.

An assessment by on of our children’s Podiatrists will involve a thorough history, physical examination and a gait assessment to determine if there are factors contributing to pain in the feet or legs.

Foot problems in children are usually treated easily with advice, strength and flexibility training, Foot orthotics or simply monitoring during development. Referral to specialist services or further investigations will be coordinated if required.
