Billing

Peninsula Foot Clinic is a private billing Clinic. Payment is required at the time of consultation. EFTPOS and credit cards are the preferred methods of payment. If you need to pay by cash, we would prefer the correct amount for your fee. Cheque or transfer by EFT by arrangement.
An initial appointment lasts 40-60 minutes and includes a thorough history and assessment of your foot concerns, as well as a plan for your ongoing management. The fee for an initial consultation is $150.
Follow-up visits are 30 mins, and the standard fee is $118.

Appointment Cancellation Policy.
It is a condition of making an appointment with Penisula Foot Clinic that if you need to cancel, you do so at least 48 hours before your appointment.

If you fail to notify us or do not turn up for your scheduled appointment, we will charge you a $55.00 fee. This fee cannot be claimed back from your private health fund.

Giving us at least 48 hours’ notice allows us to reallocate your appointment time to an emergency or a patient in urgent need of treatment. Thank you for your understanding.

Private Health Insurance.

Podiatry services at Peninsula Foot Clinic attract a rebate through some private health fund extras. Please check with your provider to see if you are covered. The cost of your treatment or services that our Podiatrist recommends will be detailed in your plan.

HICAPS

If your fund is on the HICAPs system, you can claim your health fund rebate at the time of your treatment and pay any remaining gap.

Medicare

Medicare does not cover Podiatry. However, Peninsula Foot Clinic accepts management plans or referrals from your Doctor under the Enhanced Primary Care Plan program, where a rebate is available for a limited number of services.

Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC)
You can access this program through your GP if you meet the criteria for having a chronic condition, for example, Diabetes. Your GP must initiate your Care Plan and send out the appropriate referrals to us.

Under this program, you can access up to 5 sessions of Podiatry in a given calendar year with Podiatrists registered with Medicare. All Podiatrists at Peninsula Foot Clinic are registered with Medicare under this scheme. Please speak with your GP to see if you are eligible, and contact our team if you would like to discuss your referral.

Peninsula Foot Clinic does not Bulk Bill for EPC Medicare services.

The Rebate you will receive from Medicare for each consultation is $63.40. We can submit your claim at the time of your appointment to Medicare, but you will need to pay the full fee at the time of your appointment.

National Disability Insurance Scheme. (NDIS)

We welcome patients who are on an NDIS plan and accept either managed or self-managed plans. If you are making an appointment under your NDIS Plan, please inform our team when making an appointment. We would like a copy of your NDIS plan so we can align our treatment with your goals. We will require your NDIS number and Plan Manager details. Any queries regarding these requirements, please speak with our team. Please note our NDIS Fees vary between $150 to $118 per consultation.

Worksafe, Traffic Accident Commission, Department of Veterans Affairs.

We welcome patients requiring treatment under either Worksafe, Traffic Accident Commission (TAC), Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). With the appropriate referral, we will bill your fees directly to the agency. Please talk to one of our friendly staff with questions you may have relating to treatment under these agencies or our professional fees.
